Jagaban Empowers Sierra Leone Women with NLe 200,000, Computers, and Tools for Success

Image Jagaban Empowers Sierra Leone Women with NLe 200,000, Computers, and Tools for Success In a remarkable gesture of empowerment and community support, philanthropist and humanitarian Jagaban has once again proven his commitment to uplifting Sierra Leoneans. On Kinghamman Road, at the Women’s Vocational Training Center, he donated NLe 200,000 in student fees, along with 10 brand-new computers, 7 tailoring machines, and a variety of kitchen utensils to help women gain both educational and practical skills. The donation comes at a crucial time when many women and young girls in Sierra Leone are striving to break barriers and build sustainable livelihoods. By covering student fees, Jagaban has relieved financial burdens, ensuring that education remains accessible. The addition of computers will bridge the digital gap, giving learners vital access to modern skills, while tailoring machines and kitchen tools will enhance hands-on training for entrepreneurship and self-reliance. Community leaders, women beneficiaries, and students gathered at the center to express heartfelt gratitude. For many, this donation is more than material support — it represents hope, opportunity, and a brighter future. > “Jagaban has given us tools, but most importantly, he has given us confidence that our dreams are possible,” one of the beneficiaries said with joy. This act of generosity reflects Jagaban’s broader vision of community development through education, skill-building, and women’s empowerment. It sets a strong example for others to contribute to sustainable growth and inspire change. The Women’s Vocational Training Center at Kinghamman Road has long been a hub for women seeking to learn trades and improve their lives. With these new resources, the center is expected to expand its impact, training more women in digital literacy, tailoring, and catering — three sectors that are vital for economic independence in Sierra Leone. Jagaban’s gesture has sparked conversations nationwide, with many on social media praising his efforts as “a true investment in the future of Sierra Leone’s women.” This milestone contribution reminds us all that lasting change starts with giving opportunities, not just charity. And today, thanks to Jagaban, dozens of women now have the tools to write their own success stories.
