MACS FOUNDATION GLOBAL CONFERENCE

Date: Thursday 30th – Friday 31st October, 2025
Venue: The Partners Mini Mall, Pyakassa, Abuja – Nigeria
Theme: “Climate Change: An Integrated Approach to Agriculture and Health using Artificial Intelligence.”

 Background and Rationale

Climate change remains one of the most pressing global challenges, with far-reaching consequences for agriculture, health, and livelihoods. In Africa, rising temperatures, erratic rainfall, flooding, and drought have disrupted food systems, reduced productivity, caused food insecurity and increased vulnerability to diseases. These effects continue to undermine national development efforts and threaten the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

At the same time, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming how we understand and respond to these complex issues. From predicting weather patterns and managing crop health to tracking disease outbreaks and optimizing resource use, AI presents powerful tools for mitigating the impact of climate change. Integrating AI into agricultural and health systems offers a new frontier for innovation, efficiency, and resilience.

The MACS Foundation 2-Day Global Conference seeks to explore the intersection between climate change, agriculture, health, and artificial intelligence. The conference will bring together global experts, policymakers, researchers, and practitioners to share knowledge, discuss emerging solutions, and chart pathways for sustainable adaptation and growth.

 Objectives

The key objectives of the conference are to:

1. Examine how climate change affects agriculture and health in developing economies.

2. Explore the role of Artificial Intelligence in enhancing climate adaptation and resilience in the agriculture and health sectors.

3. Promote integrated, data-driven solutions that strengthen food systems and public health responses.

4. Facilitate cross-sector collaboration between governments, academia, civil society, and private innovators.

5. Identify and promote scalable innovations and policies for sustainable agricultural and health systems.

 Expected Outcomes

By the end of the conference, participants are expected to:

1. Produce a policy communiqué outlining AI-driven strategies for climate resilience in agriculture and health.

2. Strengthen networks and partnerships between local and international stakeholders.

3. Identify practical AI applications that can improve environmental monitoring, disease prevention, and food security.

4. Enhance capacity and awareness on the use of emerging technologies for sustainable development.
