The All Peoples Congress (APC) party and the leading flagbearer aspirant, Sheikh Alhaji Mohammed "Omodu" Kamara, widely known as Jagaban, have launched the J-IMPACT Initiative, a groundbreaking empowerment scheme. The soft loan program aims to support and uplift the APC women across the Western Region, covering all 28 constituencies, wards, and various women’s groups. This initiative is part of Jagaban’s broader plan to unite the grassroots, strengthen the APC party, and reinforce the party’s presence ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Opened with an interfaith prayers: Muslim prayer led by Mrs. Asanatu S. Marrah, Chairlady of Constituency 105, and a Christian prayer by Mrs. Elizabeth Kamara, East Chairlady of Constituency 123, symbolizing unity and inclusiveness
Deputy Chairlady of the West District and also the Vice President of the Abacha Women's Association, Mrs. Umu Hawa Bah Kamara, praised the initiative for empowering the APC women at the local level. Mrs. Kamara described Jagaban as a leader who has rejuvenated the party and offered real hope for the future. She emphasized his support across various regions and hailed the initiative as a source of renewed strength for APC women.
Chairladies from both the Rural and East Districts echoed these sentiments, commending Jagaban’s loyal support to the APC party and the strategic role played by Hon. Pastor Adama Conteh Sesay in empowering women. The Chairman of Constituency 130, and also the Chairman of all Chairmen in the Western Area, Mr. Sanfar, also acknowledged the significance of the initiative, describing the day as a memorable one for the APC. He called for unity and peace within the party as it gears up for future electoral victories.
In Jagaban's statement, he expressed gratitude to all women and supporters and highlighted the essential role of women in the political process. He stressed his belief in loyalty to the party over personal ambition and reaffirmed his commitment to women's empowerment as key to the APC’s success. Jagaban confidently spoke about his qualifications and investments in the APC, challenging any other aspirant to show equal commitment. He concluded by promising to lead the APC to victory in 2028, positioning the party as the only path to national peace and progress.
Closing the event, Comrade Med Kay, East District Chairman, celebrated the initiative as a turning point for the party and the region. He emphasized that women's empowerment directly strengthens APC constituencies and called for continued acts of unity and resilience. The launch of the J-IMPACT Initiative not only reflects Jagaban’s dedication to party development but also sets a tone of hope, inclusion, and grassroots revival as the APC prepares for the future.
